"Refurbished" - Definition

My Process:

All pre-modded Consoles are cleaned INSIDE and OUT.  This includes electronic boards, ports, and plastics.

Plastic Parts:
Grime and dust are removed using Dr Bronner’s Peppermint Castile Soap and water. Then dried with a MetroVac DataVac Duster.
Sometimes a small amount of 99% isopropyl alcohol is mixed in or used to clean off marks from pens or to remove flux, stickers, and the like from the plastic.

After the cleaning process, the console is lightly buffed with a small amount of “Mothers Back to Black Plastic Restorer” and buffed.

Almost all consoles will still have some degree of scratches, wear, and small cosmetic issues.  A replacement / aftermarket case may be used for some consoles if the original case is heavily damaged.  This will be indicated in the product listing.

Electronic and Metal Parts:
Grime and dust are removed using 99% isopropyl alcohol.  Rust will be neutralized using distilled white vinegar.  Boards are all dried  off using a MetroVac DataVAC Duster.

Replacement parts may be used from donor consoles.  New capacitors are of high quality and usually sourced from Console5 if available.

Batteries are tested as working and replaced as necessary.

Health Check and Testing:

All consoles will be thoroughly tested to work with compatible cables.  Audio will be tested to make sure the output signals are working correctly.  Resolutions will be tested to make sure they are working correctly.

Controller, memory card, USB, and other slots will be tested as working before sale.

Compatibility with controllers and other devices will be tested as available.  Example: Sega 32X, Gamecube Gameboy Player, etc…

All consoles will be left running for 1-2 hours in a game, to make sure the system runs normally, stays cool, and continues to function normally before sale.
